I wanted to love these – so very comfortable, love the rich brown color, waterproof, and they were the perfect in between for wearing to work with dress pant.
Only issue was that the black neoprene liner smelled terrible once the shoe got warm/worn. I never got them wet, only wore them a few times. Smelled like I had owned them for a decade.

Fit was true to size but the top elastic piece rubbed my husbands foot in the wrong place. Just trying on irritated him.

I have a high instep and these shoes were a bit difficult to get on. However, once on they felt really comfortable. I wore them for the rest of the day (6 hours) with no complaints. Wow, I actually felt these shoes ‘breathing’ as I walked! Thanks to the fine professionals at Penner’s Menswear in San Antonio for recommending this new style. I have 10 pair of J-M shoes. They’re tops in my book.

Tried 2 different sizes and widths to see if a comfortable fit could be found. Answer is NO. Seems to me only a very narrow foot could find these comfortable. Even taking the insole out did not make these shoes fit comfortably.

I wear a size 13 and the fit was perfect. Great looking shoe, stylish, soft leather, comfortable. I get compliments on these shoes everytime that I wear them. I’m very pleased with my purchase. My only concern is the white sole – could get dirty easily if not careful.

OK, first of all these shoes are clearly not inexpensive – but I am here to tell you they look better in person than in the photos. Further – and maybe more importantly – do not be put off the first time you attempt to put them on (!) The liner will make you think you’ve order two sizes too small but STICK WITH IT. I am a size 14 and these shoes are maybe the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever owned – but navigating the double liner the first time feels weird.
