These are the best desert boots I could find anywhere. Best meaning best looking, best quality and best price. They are also the most comfortable shoes I have owned in a very long time. I normally wear a 10.5 and that size worked just right for me. They look great with jeans or even casual dress slacks. I think every man should have a pair of these in his wardrobe. I have several other pair of Johnston & Murphy dress shoes and these are right up there with the best of them. I was not disappointed one bit and would recommend these great desert boots without hesitation.

These are amazing shoes, do not hesitate in buying them! My boyfriend cannot stop raving about their comfort. He gets complimented on the style every time he wears them (which is a lot because he is obsessed). He owns a ton of other nice shoes and these are one of his favorites.

This is first pair of Chukkas and I’m glad I got them. Super leather quality inside and out. I was a bit worried they’d get marks and scratches since the outside leather is soft but so far, so good (haven’t rained yet though). You should know that this is a heavyweight shoe, it’s very well made and you can feel the weight of the quality. As far as sizing, I’d say they feel a little larger than my usual 11.5 so I lace them up very tight and it’s all good.

I bought these for my husband. Because my son also owns a pair of these boots, he suggested to size down a half size. My husband wears a 10.5 so I bought the 10. They for perfectly!

I love this shoe. This will be my third pair of them. They hold up extremely well. I typically get two years worth of almost daily wear out of them and give them quite a bit of abuse with only minimal care. I could probably make them last longer if I tried, but I am happy with the performance I get.

My husband has very large (size 15) flat feet and he requires a sturdy arch support. As soon as he tried theses boots on he said, “they feel great”. I try to keep him in stylish shoes, which is very difficult with his size, so I purchased them for their great look. We both won! I bought these in black for my husband for a trip to Europe. He found them to be comfortable right out of the box. He prefers a wider shoe but the mediums fit him perfectly. The gum sole makes for a perfect walking shoe. He now wants them in every color. Stylish, comfortable and reasonably priced!

I’ve had these boots for almost year. They have one fatal flaw (at least for me)…the gum rubber soles start to look absolutely gross after a while. They pick up every possible thing you walk thru (think NYC streets, yuk!) and turn nasty. It’s a real shame because the quality of the boots are great and they’re super comfortable. I originally bought these for business casual work but they’re going to be relegated to just the weekends or hanging out.

Wasn’t sure at first if my Chukkars were 1/2 size to big. Caroline at Campos sent me the next size down. By comparing side by side. I was able to realize my original 10 1/2 we’re in fact the true size as opposed to a size 10. Great customer service. I will definitely use Zappos for other men’s products as well.

Excellent shoes. These have last me for almost 3 years. The only thing I’ve hard to replace were the laces. The sowing and leather to sole transitioning is perfect. I could walk through puddles and my feet stayed dry. Quality leather, and quality work.

My second pair of Copelands. I have owned a black pair for two years. They’re comfortable right out of the box and get better with time. After six months, the finish starts acquiring that comfortably-used, my-favorite-boots patina. These are a nice reddish-brown with a darker patina in the toe area. They’re great with anything casual to business casual, and they look like they’re made to wear with jeans. I wear mine anytime I need to look dressier than sneakers. I have wide feet and they fit really well, so heads up on sizing.

These are great chukkas. I found the boots a bit tight when I first received them but after wearing them a couple times they have stretched out a little and are extremely comfortable. Walking in them has felt great and they are stylish enough for work or a night out.

This is my second set of these chukkas. They are VERY comfortable and I like the way they look. I will caution that the tanning process may cause variations from pair to pair. Additionally, they will start off a little tight but since it’s real leather they do loosen up rather quick. I have Plantars fasciitis so I use heal inserts. Since the sole is made of natural latex it really helps cut down on the impact from the pounding of walking. It might be a little more than you’re used to spending but it’s worth it.

Returned this item. The show is narrow and tight around the sides of the foot. Normally a D works for me, but not in this case.

Bought these shoes based off of other reviews. I have to say…they have far exceeded my expectations. I’ve never owned shoes with a latex sole, but I’m sold. Each step is soft and silent (I’m a big guy, so I appreciate not feeling like I’m stomping around). The mix of leathers used is also excellent. Sturdy and beautifully-stained on the outside, as soft as butter on the inside. I very rarely leave reviews, but I wanted to take the time to share my very positive outlook on these shoes.

Shoes are nice and good material but the life of the shoes will not last. I casually wear them almost everyday and I had the not even a year and the bottom it separating from the rest of the she. I paid more for a better shor but in return got cut short. I’m very disappointed.

Okay. I had been eyeing these shoes for a few months. I really like the styling. Unfortunately, I wear a 13W and this shoe is on available in medium widths…
I spoke with a Fit Specialist at DXL. It’s kinda neat to speak to a salesperson who actually works at a store. Well, I asked the rep if the saying was true: “offering a size up gives you more width”. She replied that it can be the case. So, I decided to take a chance and man was I happy. The 14 fit really good although I probably have an extra inch of length. I’m actually wondering if I can comfortably get into a 13M with this shoe.
The leather and soles are nice. The inside of the shoe is luxurious. Shoes were packed well. The plastic sticks to the soles. One of my shoes had a couple of spots that were easily rubbed off.

Weathers the cold and wet very well easy to keep and incredibly comfortable. Suited particularly for wet slippery surfaces. Classic two tone colors match well with a variety of different outfits.

I have had these, Red Brown Oiled, boots for over 8 years now and they still rock. Gum is getting a little worn but that is to be expected. All I do is rub some aqua4 on em and they look brand new everytime. Will buy nothing else!

Big/Tall guy who appreciates good style. Dressing nice. These can be used along the casual spectrum with jeans or twill pants, but not dress slacks. Good support. Feet don’t feel tired after walking in them. Feels well made and a strong shoestring that is long enough and ties well.

I have all 3 colors of these Copeland Chukka boots and I’m in the process of spending $110 on each pair to replace the gross rubber crepe soles! These are a great pair of boot, just wish J & M would put a better sole on these shoes!
