This was my 5th J & M shoe purchase & by far the most disappointing. The shoe itself is comfy, stylish, and breathable. Unfortunately the black rubber trim around the top has a thin black coating and is not the same color beneath. After some use, it gives the appearance of being scuffed or streaked with white paint. For the price of these shoes, I’d expect more quality in design.

Love JM shoes and that is all I wear. I bought these and loved how they fit and how they breathed. Downside was that on the 4th time I wore them, the color on the rubber in the front of the show started wearing off. This is a design flaw. It’s horrible because I really love the way the shoe fits, which is why I gave it 3 stars despite of the flaw. I wish I could post a photo.

Love that boot. Can wear it with jeans and casual dress. Would hesitate to wear it with dress only because mine is a plain toe. Can’t wait for the weather to cool to wear it again. Very comfortable especially for a boot. Pliable, easily bends with little effort. Can wear heavy or light socks with it. Not only does it look good but durable.

The shoes fit true to size and are comfortable. A few things to know: the Shearling lining does not cover the entire upper : the bottom 1-1/2 inch or so is unlined, as is the entire forefoot (not including the tongue, which is lined). I bought these for winter wear, and just wore them for the first time after a snowfall. The sole is not as soft ("rubbery") as it should be, and while flexible, is actually quite slick on packed snow, polished stairs and parking lot ice – not quite leather slippery, but easy the worst traction of the soles of three dressier lined boots I own (mephisto, brunomagli and these). I can get over the partial shearling lining, but the sole should be a softer material to minimize slipping. These are good indoor boots (as many others are), but that is not why i purchased the them.
