I had worn a model of Cole Haan shoe for many years but when they were discontinued I decided to try these Johnston & Murphy shoes. Even on the first day I knew that I had a much better shoe now than before. They are more comfortable and the leather is a nicer quality. After a few days I happen to be riding in the elevator with the CEO of our company and he commented on my nice shoes! These are my new standard.

Nice shoes – definitely a dressy look to them, the leather has a high shine to them and they have a thin, smooth sole. These were a little too dressy for me for everyday work wear with a suit, they seem more fitting for a formal occasion.

These shoes fit perfect. Very comfortable although very well made with wood bottom may be slippery during first wear. The shoe has a very formal look and I will wear it with suit or to dress up jacket and slack.

I buy a lot of dress shoes, and have owned Johnston and Murphy in the past. These particular ones were the noisiest, squeakiest shoes I have ever tried to wear. They look sharp, but you would draw stares in any office space you walked through with the noise coming from these. I did not see them getting quieter with time, so I returned them.

These shoes feel like they’re made of plastic. They were very stiff and uncomfortable from the start and have not improved after months of daily wear. In fact, they have since developed a hard crease directly over the top of my foot which slices into my toes when walking any measurable distance. I dread wearing them. More of a costume shoe for photos and other static activities; but totally useless for professional purposes.

Bought for a wedding and the dress style did not disappoint. Shoe was just a touch to long but not enough to worry about.
Note- do give yourself time for a break in period as they are stiff out of the box

Didn’t even try them on. Way too shiny, basically only made to be worn at formal black tie events. Doesn’t look like the picture online. Very disappointed.
